Asquith Volunteer Fire Department

EMERGENCY  9-1-1

The Town of Asquith has a volunteer Fire Department with 14 active members.  All calls are dispatched through MD Ambulance by dialing 9-1-1. The Town has two pumper trucks and one emergency response vehicle, and covers the Town of Asquith and designated areas in the R.M. of Corman Park, the R.M. of Vanscoy and the R.M. of Eagle Creek.

If planning a controlled burn in the area around Asquith, be sure to call your municipal office to inform them of it, who will in turn inform the appropriate fire department.  IF you neglect to do so and the Fire Department responds to a call, you will be charged for the fire call.

The Asquith Fire Department is currently fundraising for the purchase of the Jaws of Life.  A majority of the calls that the Asquith Fire Department responds to are motor vehicle accidents so this is direly needed.  Any donations would be gratefully accepted.  Donations can be made to the Fire Chief, one of the Deputy-Fire Chiefs or to the Asquith Town office.

Fire Chief - Colin Graham    Deputy-Chiefs - John Dahlseide, Rick Bueckert and  Darren Kraft

ASQUITH FIRST RESPONDERS

EMERGENCY 9-1-1

The Asquith First Responders are a group of trained volunteers who live in the community who respond to emergency situations in the community and who provide emergency medical care until the ambulance arrives.

If you are in need of emergency medical assistance, call MD Ambulance at 9-1-1 who will contact the First Responder who is closest to the situation and have them come to you at once.  There is a dispatcher on duty 24 hours a day who will contact someone to come to your assistance.

The First Responders would like to remind community members that though you may know your civic address or land location, your children, a babysitter or a visitor may not.  Keep the information beside your phone, along with directions from Saskatoon for the ambulance and from your nearest town for the First Responders.  Keep directions simple ~ good directions can make a life or death difference in a crisis!
